  52. Maybe you mean the very early ones that Yeasu shipped.

  54. The more recent one supplied with the FT530 seems to work
  55. very nicely.  I'd say it is second only to the Diamond R77 
  56. in my collection.  That one seems to be king of the duckie 
  57. dual banders.

  92. The specific question is will one of the smaller rotors work with the
  93. $100/200W units?  Primary interest is use a backup power supply (marine
  94. battery) for emergency services.  I know that some of the cheaper
  95. inverters only put out square waves.  Does this cause a problem?

  124. My father uses a TS 50 and an IC901 in his taurus.  only noise is slight alt whine
  125. on the 901.  Only effect caused by xmitting is changing the speed of the key-in-ignition
  126. chime when xmitting on 440.  He's happy with car.

  128. Of course I hold onto my old 71 VW bus.  Point ignition, generator, etc. all waay in the
  129. back, entire body grounded, lotsa room for rigs, etc.  I'd hate to lose that car!

  198. who cares, the politicians are still corrupt, the actors are still a
  199. law unto themselves and the judges won't put criminals in prison.

  278. As a former owner... I'd say DON'T buy one.  It WAS a GREAT rig but the
  279. new FT-530 runs rings around it in every catagory.  Save up the extra
  280. cash and buy the new model.
